The Institute of Molecular Medicine at the UG School of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the School of Life Sciences at the University of Westminster, launched the International Science Seminars in Molecular Medicine and Global Health (2024–2025) last year. Chaired by Professor Nina Porakishvili of the University of Westminster, the seminar series has brought together leading scholars in public health and biomedical research from the United Kingdom, Italy, and Georgia. The primary objective of these events is to strengthen international research communication and foster collaboration among researchers, as well as Master’s and PhD students, in the fields of molecular medicine and global health—within the broader One Health framework. |
The OHI has played an active role in this initiative by delivering the seminar “Advanced Molecular Epidemiology Approaches in the Global One Health Framework: Harnessing Their Potential.” The seminar garnered strong interest from participants, including UG faculty, and has inspired the development of new interdisciplinary research initiatives. These efforts aim to deepen collaboration between OHI and other academic units at UG focused on medicine and public health. |
